Our local library has both of these
books. Has anyone read either one of them? I read the first few pages with that cool thing Amazon.com has were you can look inside the book. They both seem to be very exciting and easy enough for my 8 year old to read. They are both strong contenders for our next "pass around" book. I think they'll also be good stories to
reinforce our recent
field trip.

Hey Crystal, I'm barging in on this post to ask if it's okay if I list your blog at the (newly reconstructed) HSers in the Hills site for the webring. (And, er, um...you'll have to rejoin because they wouldn't let me do it any other way. Sorry.) LMK!
Already done Andie! Thanks!
I haven't read those but they look good. We read Om-Kas-Toe and Moccasin Trail last year. They're both fiction but historically accurate and give a great picture of Indian life (Om-Kas-Toe) and white/Indian relations (Moccasin Trail). The boys and I loved them.
