In elementary school our mascot was the Viking. In Jr. High and High school we were the Pirates. When the kids went to private school they were the Eagles.
At Backyard Academy, we are the "Muffin Mitts"
Back when the Arby's ad was all about the oven mit, the kids thought it was hilarious. I'm not real sure how he started to be known as "muffin mitt" but that's his name. Muffin goes everywhere with us and does school work with us. He did have an extended stay at our friend's house this summer. He hid the whole time,,, avoiding watering the chickens and feeding the cows! Now he's back home and hard at work investigating the pitcher plant and taking notes!
