Thing-a-day #8 Warm Beer anyone?

Today's Thing-a-day is a coffee cup cozy.
What?
That's not coffee?
Well look how huge the thing turned out! Holy waste of time Batman! Beer mugs do not require "cozies"
To be fair, it called for DK and I used light worsted. It called for size 6 needles and I used 5s (hopeing to account for the heavier, if only slightly, yarn). The pattern was frought with problems.
Oh well, I guess you can't win them all!
Here's the pattern link if you are so inclined. Adjustable Coffee Mug Wrap
Maybe tomorrow's project will be better.

My best friend was "in town" (she only lives in Milton! but it takes almost 30m to get to Bville!) and I insisted that she meet me for lunch. We went to Super China Buffet of course. Man, they must make the NEW food on Fridays because it was GOOD. Either that or they were expecting the health inspector! Afterwards we went to Drug Emporium. Yes people, this is the exciting life we lead. We do enjoy browsing the crazy organic grains and whacked out medicial herbs. I wish I'd had my camera, there is an herbal pill for such things as puncture wounds, fractured bones, and get this.... Indifference.
Dang, I didn't know I needed a cure for my indifference!lol smiley

I did get suckered into buying some Tea Tree Oil tho. Kim and Aggie on "How Clean is Your House" swear that I need it.
I used it this evening and now my house stinks. The English have a funny idea about what smells good.

The boys finished memorizing the 50 prepositions today. I'm proud of them, I honestly didn't think they could do it and they surprised me! They actually enjoyed it! Now we can start our new grammar book Easy Grammar. I'm excited, I think this might be the thing for our grammar woes. I know all of my tens of readers (if that! ha! ) will be excited too. Perhaps sometime in the future I'll write a coherent sentence!

Well, I'm exhausted for some reason. I haven't done much but I'm ready for bed. If the weather is nice I hope to go to the gun range tomorrow! Sounds like fun, no? Nighty night!

I can't find your email addy and the website featuring the dishcloth is no more... I think. But it's easy.

Sugar and Cream yarn. size 6 or 7 needles (US)

CO 4 stitches
Row 1: k4
Row 2: k2, yarn over, knit across the row.
Repeat row 2 until you have 44 stitches on the needle.
Row 3: k1, k2tog, yarn over, k2tog, knit to the end of the row. Repeat row 3 until you have 4 stitches on the needle. You can now either bind off or do a row of single crochet and make a little loop of chain stitches in one corner so you can hang the cloth to dry when you are finished using it. (I never do the crochet row). This is soooo easy and cute when it's finished! Enjoy.

You don't have to approve these to show up.

BTW, I knew that thing about Wendy's chili and the old hamburger patties. The only thing I won't eat there is the chicken. It gives me the nervous squirts every time!!! LOL.

Holy bladder control, Batman, you crack me up!!! Well, I guess you just need to find some Irish or German friend who likes his or her beer warm. (See how I'm watching my grammar there since you're about to embark on your grammar books. I'll never be able to comment to your blog again without an absurd level of paranoia.)

Stupid question: Where is the Drug Emporium? Someone told me they sell Nielsen-Massey vanilla. Anyway, please don't tell me it's someplace so obvious that I shouldn't have been missing it all these years.

By the way, please e-mail me at lararosier@hotmail.com. I wanted to ask you a question about a knitting project. Thanks!

I need some of those pills... or not. I don't really care. ;)

We just finished Winston Grammar and it was awesome. I hope you like Easy Grammar as much. I've heard good things about it.
